absent adj. 不在場的; 不存在的; 缺少的 absent v. 不在;不參與上述兩類字義重音不同喔！ The teacher: Could anyone tell me why do so many students be absent? 老師問：有人可以告訴我為什麼會有多這麼多同學缺席？ Student: They may catch the bird flue. 生：他們大概都感染了禽流感。 He insists to absent from this seminar. 他堅持不出席這場研討會。
